Help build a place where chinchillas in need can find safety, specialized care and a future.

CARE FOR THE YEARS AHEAD
Be part of their next chapter.
A safe place to recover
A separate rescue space for quarantine, rehabilitation and preparation for adoption into vetted pet homes.
A home for life
Lifelong sanctuary care, enriching habitats and veterinary support for chinchillas who need a permanent home.
A community prepared to help
Education and rescue coordination to help people understand chinchillas and respond when they need us.
THE FIRST STEP
Turn a property into a place of care.
The proposed Illinois property already has buildings that can be adapted for the mission. GCA’s first funding priority is acquisition and preparation of the rescue building.
Existing property; labels show planned uses. The facility is not yet open.
MORE WAYS TO HELP
Your kindness can go further.
Ask about employer matching
GCA participates in Benevity. Search for Global Chinchilla Alliance in your employer’s giving portal and check whether your donation qualifies for a match. Availability depends on your employer.
Use EIN 99-2008449 to help identify GCA. Contact us if you need help designating a workplace gift for the rescue and sanctuary.
Make a larger or restricted gift
For a major gift, a gift with specific restrictions, or ongoing support, talk with GCA about the best way to help.
Yes. Choose “Give with PayPal Giving Fund” to open GCA’s page on PayPal, or use “Donate through GCA” to log into globalchinchillas.com and donate there.
For a gift specifically restricted to the rescue and sanctuary through PayPal Giving Fund, contact GCA before giving.
Where will I complete my donation?
The donation button takes you to globalchinchillas.com, GCA’s existing donation page. Choose your amount there and use regular checkout to add “Rescue & Sanctuary” in the order note.
Is the rescue and sanctuary open?
Not yet. This campaign is helping establish the facility. Opening will follow property acquisition, preparation, and the funding and approvals needed to provide care responsibly.
How can I follow the progress?
Visit the funding plan and sanctuary journal for published updates. Resident stories will follow when animals are actually in GCA’s care.
Sharing this page helps more people discover the project. You can also contact GCA about volunteering, supplies or skills you would like to contribute.
